Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Clinical Research Scientist to join our vibrant team in Durban. The suitable candidate will have a strong background in clinical trials and research methodologies, working on innovative projects that aim to advance medical standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement research protocols for clinical studies.
• Evaluate and interpret clinical trial results, presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders regarding trial protocols.
• Oversee data management, ensuring integrity and accuracy of data.
• Coordinate with laboratories for the analysis of specimens.
• Manage multiple research projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines.
• Contribute to grant writing efforts and budget management for research projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• PhD in Clinical Research or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in clinical trials management

Certifications

• Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA)
• Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC)

• Background in safety monitoring and reporting: Understanding of safety protocols and adverse event reporting in clinical trials.
