Accountant

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to enhance our financial department in Johannesburg. Your duties will include managing monthly closings, conducting reconciliations, and providing budget forecasts to improve financial health.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Record daily financial transactions and keep efficient records.
• Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.
• Provide training and support to junior accounting staff.
• Participate in the budgeting process and track financial performance.
• Evaluate financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Engage with clients on their financial needs.
• Prepare financial analysis for special projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Accounting is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting
