UX/UI Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our innovative team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces while also ensuring a seamless user experience. This role requires collaboration with product managers and developers to deliver exceptional designs that meet user needs and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from research and ideation to implementation.
• Work closely with other designers to ensure design quality and consistency.
• Translate complex ideas into simple, engaging designs that meet user needs.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers.
• Create design specifications and documentation for developers.
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to inspire design innovation.
• Monitor and evaluate the success of implemented designs post-launch.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to their development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field
• Master's degree in Design is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio

Technical Skills

• Sketch
• Prototyping Tools

• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in mobile app design: Hands-on experience designing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams to deliver design projects.
