Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Structural Engineer to lead various projects in Johannesburg. Your role will involve evaluating buildings, working on structural designs, and liaising with clients and contractors while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integrity of structures throughout the construction process.
• Evaluate current structures for renovations and improvements.
• Ensure sustainability principles are considered in designs.
• Utilize software tools for structural simulations.
• Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting during projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Structural Analysis Software
• Reinforced Concrete Design

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• PrEng registration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM technologies: Familiarity with Building Information Modeling for better design integration.
