We are seeking a passionate Biochemist to join our research team in Stellenbosch. Responsibilities

• Investigate biochemical pathways and their roles in human health.
• Collaborate with team members to design comprehensive research studies.
• Utilize advanced laboratory technologies to analyze samples.
• Contribute to writing scientific papers and presenting at workshops.
• Lead and mentor less experienced researchers in the lab.
• Manage laboratory inventory and ensure all materials are available.
• Identify potential research grants and assist in proposal submissions.
• Maintain meticulous records of experiments and findings.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards in research practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or Chemistry
• Postgraduate studies in Biochemistry is highly desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in laboratory research, preferably in a clinical environment
