Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures. You will collaborate with architects and construction teams to ensure the structural integrity and safety of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering design process for new projects.
• Perform load calculations and structural analysis for various materials.
• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve on-site challenges.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed plans and specifications for construction.
• Conduct feasibility studies and present findings to clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in technical skills and project management.
• Assist in preparing project proposals and bid evaluations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Design Codes and Standards

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Structural Engineer
• LEED Certification - preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
