Job Description

We are currently looking for a Financial Planner to enhance our advisory services in Cape Town. The successful candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial products, and regulatory requirements and possess the ability to build lasting relationships with clients by offering outstanding service and insightful financial guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' financial needs and create tailored financial strategies.
• Assist clients in investment decisions and retirement planning.
• Evaluate and adjust financial plans to align with market changes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication.
• Facilitate workshops and seminars to educate clients on financial management.
• Work with colleagues to deliver comprehensive documentation and compliance materials.
• Identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
• Set performance measures and provide annual reviews for individual financial plans.
• Utilise financial software for analysis and presentations.
• Source and recommend suitable financial products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Relevant financial certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a financial advisory role

Technical Skills

• Financial Modelling
• Portfolio Management

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
• Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA): Specialization in the investment management industry.
• Familiarity with estate planning strategies: Experience in assisting clients with estate planning needs.
