Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Grahamstown. In this role, you will provide exceptional care to a variety of animals, engage with pet owners, and work collaboratively with our team to ensure the health and wellbeing of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and perform surgical procedures.
• Develop treatment plans for ill and injured animals.
• Monitor animal health and recovery post-surgery.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and their pets.
• Stay current on advancements in veterinary technology and medicine.
• Assist in the training of new staff members.
• Participate in case discussions and contribute to team decision-making.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mixed practice

• Emergency Care

Certifications

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
