Job Description

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. You'll serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical support and will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries.
• Resolve issues reported by users in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in hardware and software upgrades and installations.
• Conduct regular backups and maintenance of IT systems.
• Document all issues, resolutions, and changes in a clear and concise manner.
• Support IT security initiatives to protect sensitive data.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• ITIL certification is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of IT support experience

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Office365

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with VPN and remote access technologies: Knowledge of secure remote access solutions.
