Job Description

As a Community Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between individuals from diverse backgrounds who speak different languages. This role requires exceptional language skills and cultural sensitivity to ensure that messages are conveyed accurately and respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between clients and service providers in various settings.
• Utilize technology for remote interpretation as needed.
• Offer guidance on cultural norms and practices to clients.
• Document and report any issues encountered during interpretation.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in interpreting or translation or a related field

Experience

• Experience working in medical, legal or social services settings is preferred
