Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dynamic Civil Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. The successful candidate will directly contribute to the design, construction, and management of vital engineering projects. This role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and adhere to all specifications. You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability in our projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Use CAD software to create technical drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections during construction to monitor compliance with design specifications.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in their professional development.

Requirements

Education

• MEng in Civil Engineering or related field
• Chartered Engineer status preferred

Experience

• 5+ years experience with large-scale civil projects

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
