Job Description

We are in search of a Civil Engineer to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge in civil engineering design, project management, and proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD and SAP2000. You'll be involved in a variety of projects, ensuring they adhere to regulations and standards while completing them on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project proposals and technical reports.
  • Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Assist in the development of engineering standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on engineering principles.
  • Participate in public consultations and community meetings.
  • Develop and deliver presentations regarding project plans to stakeholders.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are met on site.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master’s degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in infrastructure projects
