IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician in Durban to provide exceptional technical support to our clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-oriented approach, and a solid understanding of IT systems and networks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Facilitate onboarding of new employees related to IT setups.
• Participate in IT-related projects as needed.
• Log and analyze support requests for trends and solutions.
• Work with third-party IT service providers when required.
• Provide feedback on IT processes to improve service delivery.
• Aid in backup and recovery procedures.
• Respond to critical incidents and outages effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of client information.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through support.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant IT certification or diploma
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT technical support

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Helpdesk Software

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
