Job Description

A Knitter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining knitting machines in the textile industry. You will produce high-quality knitted fabrics according to specifications, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate knitting machines according to fabric specifications.
• Inspect fabrics for defects and implement corrective measures.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleanliness checks on knitting machines.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet targets efficiently.
• Document machine settings, output, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean workspace.
• Assist in training junior operators on machine operation.
• Participate in maintaining inventory of yarns and materials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and report to management.
• Contribute to team meetings and suggest improvements for production processes.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required; vocational training in textile manufacturing is advantageous.

Experience

• Prior work experience as a Knitter Operator or in a similar role within the textile industry is preferred.
