Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Skein Bander to join our team. The Skein Bander will be responsible for securely packaging and labeling skeins of yarn according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Securely package skeins of yarn while adhering to company standards.
• Conduct quality checks to identify and rectify any yarn defects.
• Keep the workspace tidy and ensure all tools are in good condition.
• Follow established quality control methods and document findings.
• Operate skein banding machines and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Meet daily production goals without compromising quality.
• Work in conjunction with team members to maximize production efficiency.
• Log any production discrepancies and report to management.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies.
• Support stocktaking and help manage warehouse organization.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Yarn handling experience
• Machine operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with skein banding machinery: Hands-on experience operating banding machines is preferred.
• Knowledge of textiles: Understanding different types of yarn and their applications.
