Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in Durban. You will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and support the patient recovery process in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ health status and implement nursing interventions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in case management and discharge planning.
• Contribute to the development of nursing protocols and practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
• Offer guidance and support to junior nursing staff.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote health education.

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate in languages such as Zulu or Sotho is advantageous.
• Experience in community health settings: Experience working in community health outreach or education programs is a plus.
