Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of the patient's condition upon admission.
• Implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage patient records and documentation with integrity and confidentiality.
• Stay informed on the latest healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Participate in nursing committees to enhance standards of care.
• Provide mentorship to nursing interns and new nurses.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain licensure.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with patients to promote emotional well-being.

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate in languages such as Zulu or Sotho is advantageous.
• Experience in community health settings: Experience working in community health outreach or education programs is a plus.
