Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Analyst in Johannesburg. In this role, you'll be responsible for interpreting financial data and creating financial models that support the firm's decision-making processes. Your insights will contribute directly to financial planning and analysis while collaborating with internal teams to drive financial efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reports and create actionable insights for various departments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Provide support for financial audits and compliance activities.
• Identify areas for financial improvement and recommend changes to processes.
• Engage with senior management to communicate financial performance metrics.
• Build and analyze cash flow projections to enhance liquidity management.
• Create and maintain dashboards that convey financial data succinctly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Business Administration will also be considered
• Master’s or CISI qualifications preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in a finance-related role

Technical Skills

• QuickBooks
• Data Analysis Software (e.g., Tableau)

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• CMA certification
• CPM certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Skills in SQL for data management: Proficient in SQL for querying databases and managing data sets.
• Experience with data visualization software: Hands-on experience with tools like Tableau for financial reporting.
