Job Description

As a General Practitioner in Cape Town, you will play a critical role in promoting health education and prevention strategies. You will be working in a supportive team environment where your expertise in handling diverse patient cases will be highly appreciated. Strong interpersonal and clinical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage chronic and acute medical conditions in patients.
  • Promote health and wellness during patient interactions.
  • Provide follow-up care and monitor long-term health outcomes.
  • Engage in community health education and preventive care initiatives.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
  • Attend professional training and workshops for continual learning.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team goals.
  • Maintain proficiency in emergency procedures.
  • Build and maintain a rapport with patients for long-term health relationships.
  • Tailor patient consultations to the individual needs and circumstances.

Requirements

Education
  • Medical Degree (MBChB) with a valid registration
  • Specialist training in family or internal medicine is advantageous
Experience
  • 3-5 years experience as a General Practitioner
