Job Description

We're on the hunt for a Mechanical Engineer to join our skilled team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and overseeing manufacturing processes. You will ensure that products meet both national and international standards, while also identifying areas for improvement to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through development.
• Apply theoretical principles of engineering to practical applications.
• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements.
• Prepare and present project proposals to stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables efficiently.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and compliance.
• Contribute to the overall engineering strategy for the company.
• Facilitate communication between engineering and other departments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

• AutoCAD

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate
