Job Description

As a Child Psychologist in Cape Town, you will play a crucial role in helping children and their families address emotional and behavioral challenges. Utilizing evidence-based techniques, you'll assess and treat children to support their mental wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Assess children's emotional and behavioral issues through interviews and standardized tests.
  • Deliver therapy using various modalities including play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Create supportive treatment environments that promote healing.
  • Establish and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and treatments.
  • Stay updated with the latest research in child psychology and therapy techniques.
  • Assist in training interns and junior staff.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Psychology preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in child psychology
