Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will provide expert pharmaceutical care, advising patients on medications and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical products and services.
• Evaluate patient medications for potential drug interactions.
• Support the pharmacy team in achieving operational goals.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Implement best practices in medication management.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Actively engage in community health initiatives.
• Assist in budget planning and cost control measures.
• Manage pharmacy staff in the absence of the manager.
• Perform regular inventory audits and liaise with suppliers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Postgraduate qualification in Pharmacy Management is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
