Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide consultation to patients regarding their medications.
• Monitor patient health and progress to ensure efficacy of therapies.
• Educate patients on proper medication use and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient profiles and medication.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy policies.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management and auditing.
• Assist in training and mentoring pharmacy staff.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacy practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Pharmacy is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical knowledge
• Medication management

Soft Skills

• Patient communication
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
• Pharmacy Practice Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
