IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services.

Responsibilities

• Offer exceptional customer service to all users.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment.
• Assist in the setup and installation of new user workstations.
• Monitor system performance and address any anomalies.
• Provide training and onboarding to new staff on IT policies and procedures.
• Participate in IT projects as needed.
• Document resolutions and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
• Ensure adherence to company security policies within the IT department.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support roles preferred

• Mac OS
• Linux

Certifications

• CompTIA A+ Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
