Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will oversee mining operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations while optimizing production processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of operational plans and strategies for mining projects.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Implement best practices for environmental sustainability in mining operations.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Build strong relationships with community stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the mining operations.
• Participate in budget planning and performance evaluations.
• Research and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of engineering personnel.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining operations

Certifications
