Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our applications. You will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to develop test plans and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and document defects and issues for timely resolution.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases.
• Coordinate with clients for feedback and UAT.
• Review requirements and specifications to ensure testability.
• Automate test cases for repeatability and efficiency.
• Facilitate defect triage meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain testing documentation and logging processes.
• Contribute to sprint planning and retrospective meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software testing

Technical Skills

• Test Automation Frameworks
• Performance Testing Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with API Testing: Proficient in testing RESTful APIs and using tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Processes: Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices.
