Job Description

We are in search of a Security Operations Analyst to bolster our cybersecurity team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management, playing a critical role in safeguarding our digital assets.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports on security incidents and trends for stakeholders.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities applicable to the organization.
• Assist in audits and compliance reporting to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Firewall Management

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ISO 27001 compliance: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 standards.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash: Ability to automate tasks and improve efficiency in security operations.
