Wind Turbine Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a Wind Turbine Machinist to ensure the reliability and performance of our wind turbines. Your role will involve hands-on mechanical work and collaboration with our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on wind turbines.
• Assist in troubleshooting faulty turbines and implement solutions.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities for compliance and records.
• Maintain and service tools and equipment necessary for turbine operation.
• Work closely with engineers to innovate maintenance procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in training junior technicians and conducting workshops.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Trade test qualification as a Mechanical Fitter is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance of wind turbines or similar mechanical systems.
