Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualised learning plans.
• Encourage children's independence and self-regulation.
• Implement behaviour management strategies as needed.
• Support literacy and numeracy skills through targeted activities.
• Assist in planning and preparing for events and celebrations.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Higher National Diploma in Childcare or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in childcare or teaching roles

Technical Skills

• Curriculum Development
• Behavior Management Techniques

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Montessori methods: Familiarity with Montessori education principles is a plus.
• Previous experience in a leadership role: Experience leading a team or planning educational activities.
