Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Environmental Compliance Manager to oversee our organization's compliance with environmental regulations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of local and international environmental laws and will be responsible for conducting audits, facilitating training sessions, and developing compliance strategies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local and national environmental laws.
• Lead environmental impact assessments and compliance audits.
• Develop training materials related to environmental compliance.
• Monitor performance against compliance metrics and make recommendations for improvement.
• Advise on environmental legislation changes and their impacts.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure environmental compliance in project execution.
• Engage with stakeholders and regulators to align on compliance strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to enhance compliance understanding within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of proven experience in environmental compliance management
