Job Description

As a Rehabilitation Counselor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals facing various challenges. Your role will involve assisting clients with their daily activities, administering medication, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly and disabled individuals with daily living activities.
• Administer prescribed medications and document the effects.
• Help clients transition between different environments and locations.
• Track client progress related to their rehabilitation goals.
• Communicate regularly with family members about client needs and progress.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Maintain accurate logs of care activities and modifications to care plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all activities.
• Facilitate recreational and social activities to enhance client engagement.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant qualification in healthcare or social services preferred

Experience

• Experience with individuals with disabilities is an advantage.

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational
