Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our passionate team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing infrastructure projects, demonstrating proficiency in design, planning, and project management within the civil engineering sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare and review technical specifications for project materials and structures.
• Engage with clients to provide updates on project milestones and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to monitor operational progress and ensure designs are being followed.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets to track project status.
• Create and implement quality control measures to enhance project outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate innovative designs.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

• English: Fluent
