As a Pot Firer, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining the firing equipment essential for producing high-quality ceramics. You will oversee the firing process to ensure the craftsmanship meets our quality standards, working meticulously to control conditions that affect the finished product.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate kilns and other firing equipment effectively during production.
  • Maintain firing logs and ensure all processes comply with safety guidelines.
  • Implement quality assurance practices throughout the firing process.
  • Perform troubleshooting on firing malfunctions and equipment failures.
  • Continuously monitor environmental conditions affecting the firing.
  • Support efforts to improve firing efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Participate in team meetings focused on production targets and quality assurance.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health regulations.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior operators.
Job Requirements
  • Matric certificate
  • Relevant technical qualification in ceramics or manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail Critical for ensuring quality in the finished products.
  • Technical Knowledge of Firing Equipment In-depth understanding of kiln operations and safety protocols.
  • Good Communication Skills Essential for collaborating with the production team.
  • Ability to Work Independently Comfortable managing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • English (Fluent)
