Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will evaluate insurance applications, determine risks, and establish appropriate coverage terms for clients. This role is critical to ensuring the financial health and risk management of our portfolio. Candidates should have a robust understanding of underwriting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert tax advice to clients in various industries.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies for clients to maximize refunds.
  • Monitor legislative changes and inform clients about potential impacts.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Train junior staff on tax policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's degree in Taxation is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in taxation or accounting roles
