Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families about care procedures and recovery.
  • Document patient care accurately in medical records.
  • Assist with medical procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Participate in patient discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Stay updated on nursing practices and protocols.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing
  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a clinical setting

Advantageous
