Senior Accountant - Johannesburg

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Johannesburg team. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on both financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate accounting records and reports.
• Review and approve Journal Entries and ensure correct posting of transactions.
• Prepare year-end financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
• Generate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct regular financial audits and assist in risk assessment activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree in Accounting or MBA is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of accounting practices
