Tax Consultant

Job Description

As a Tax Consultant, your primary duties will include managing client relationships, preparing and filing tax returns, and conducting tax research. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong commitment to helping clients maximise their tax benefits while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• Review financial records and tax documents to ensure compliance.
• Provide tax planning advice to clients for minimising liabilities.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate these to clients.
• Assist in resolving tax disputes with the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
• Conduct tax research to support client positions.
• Develop financial strategies to optimise tax benefits.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation.
• Utilise tax preparation software to analyse and file returns.
• Educate clients about their tax obligations and entitlements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax consulting or related field
