Allied Health Professional (Physiotherapist)

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Allied Health Professional (Physiotherapist) to join our healthcare team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of physiotherapy principles and practices, along with a commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of our patients through effective rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy to patients of varied backgrounds and conditions.
• Perform detailed initial assessments and regular evaluations of patients’ progress.
• Review and adjust treatment programs based on patient responses.
• Engage patients through demonstration of exercises and health maintenance techniques.
• Complete and maintain accurate records of treatment and progress.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.
• Assist in the management of the rehabilitation unit, including maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
• Postgraduate studies in Rehabilitation is a plus

Experience

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in physiotherapy

Technical Skills

• Physical Assessment
• Therapeutic Exercise Prescription

Advantageous

• Experience with sports rehabilitation: Hands-on experience in sports injury recovery and rehabilitation protocols.
• Knowledge of manual therapy techniques: Familiar with various manual therapy approaches to facilitate recovery.
