Seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to work in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will assess insurance risks, decide on premiums, and provide exceptional service to clients. Your knowledge of industry standards will be essential in guiding each process.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new business opportunities and conduct market research.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to finalize coverage.
• Develop underwriting guidelines to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in the development of product structure and pricing.
• Prepare materials for underwriting meetings and presentations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Actuarial Science, or related field

Experience

• 5 years of experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in commercial lines

Certifications

• CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter)
• AINS (Associate in General Insurance)
