Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to be part of our healthcare team in Cape Town. You will provide excellent nursing care, educate patients, and support them in their journey to recovery. This role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain levels through appropriate interventions.
• Prepare patients for discharge and provide follow-up care instructions.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain an organized and safe working environment in the nursing unit.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care strategies.
• Conduct health promotion and disease prevention education initiatives.
• Take part in community outreach programs to enhance public health awareness.
• Document nursing interventions and outcomes on a continuous basis.
• Support research and education efforts within the department.
• Mentor new nursing staff in their transition into the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Clinical specialty certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of nursing experience with supervisory roles considered an advantage

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• Bilingual abilities in Afrikaans or Xhosa: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
