We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our lively team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in medical procedures, provide animal care, and maintain accurate patient records. Your role will be integral to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our furry clients, so a passion for animal care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians in both routine and emergency procedures.
• Monitor closely the health status of hospitalized animals.
• Assist in the preparation and handling of laboratory specimens.
• Educate clients on animal nutrition and preventive care.
• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Participate in community outreach and veterinary awareness programs.
• Manage multi-line phone systems and schedule appointments.
• Conduct follow-up calls with clients regarding pet health.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with clients.
• Assist in the training of new staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology or related field

Experience

• 3+ years' experience in a veterinary clinic setting
