Job Description

As a Tax Specialist in our Stellenbosch office, you will provide exceptional tax guidance to clients, preparing detailed tax returns and ensuring full compliance with all local and national tax laws. Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop innovative strategies that help clients minimize tax liabilities while maximizing benefits.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clients' financial data to determine tax liabilities.
• Prepare and review tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Advise clients on effective tax strategies and plans.
• Collaborate with legal and financial departments to ensure comprehensive service.
• Document and keep track of all tax-related correspondence.
• Represent clients during tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Continuously improve personal and team’s knowledge of tax laws.
• Assist with internal training regarding tax compliance practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax advisory roles

Technical Skills

• International Taxation
• Financial Analysis

• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)
• CA(SA) or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of IFRS regulations: Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and their application.
