Job Description

As a Casting House Laborer, you will be instrumental in the production of metal castings, working closely with a skilled team to ensure the highest quality standards are met. This role requires a commitment to safety and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate casting machines and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Pour molten metal, ensuring correct temperatures and material types.
  • Inspect finished castings for quality and report any defects.
  • Perform routine cleaning of the workspace and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management of materials and tools.
  • Follow all safety regulations and attend safety briefings.
  • Train junior staff on casting processes and equipment usage.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • A relevant qualification in metal casting is advantageous
Experience
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment is advantageous
