Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, as well as experience in the design, testing, and implementation of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and validation of mechanical systems.
• Perform simulations using CAD software to predict system behavior.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing process.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving engineering problems.
• Collaborate with suppliers on component selection and validation.
• Prepare and present project proposals to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks
• MATLAB
• AutoCAD

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with robotics: Experience in robotics and automation systems.
