Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This role involves implementing health programs, collecting data, and advising on health policies to improve community health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Research public health issues and recommend solutions.
• Assist in the development of community health policies.
• Promote health literacy among community members.
• Coordinate public health campaigns and outreach activities.
• Monitor compliance with health regulations.
• Prepare reports and grant proposals related to health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a related role with a focus on community health

Technical Skills

• Public Policy Analysis
• Statistical Software (SPSS, SAS)

• Interpersonal Skills
• Project Management

Certifications

• Certified Public Health Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in community outreach programs: Hands-on experience with community health initiatives and outreach.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Fluency in both English and Afrikaans for effective communication.
