Job Description

We are seeking experienced Shoe Machine Operators and Tenders to join our team at Quality Hardware Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and tending to shoe manufacturing machines and ensuring quality production standards.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate machines for optimal performance and product quality.
• Test and inspect completed products for adherence to specifications.
• Document daily production figures and report to the Production Manager.
• Train and mentor junior operators to enhance team capabilities.
• Conduct safety checks on machinery and report hazards immediately.
• Assist with the resolution of production-related issues in a timely manner.
• Promote a positive team environment and uphold company values.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical diploma in manufacturing or engineering is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in shoe manufacturing or machine operation

Technical Skills

• Machine Calibration
• Production Management Software

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Experience in Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality assurance processes in manufacturing.
