Job Description

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. Your responsibilities will include personal care, medication management, and offering emotional support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and supervision to clients with special needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene and meal preparation.
  • Document and report significant incidents or behavioral changes to the management.
  • Implement individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of living areas and equipment.
  • Engage clients in recreational and therapeutic activities.
  • Assist with mobility and transferring individuals safely.
  • Establish trust and build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect client privacy at all times.
  • Adapt to changes in the needs of clients and care objectives.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher Certificate in Health and Social Care
  • Completion of a relevant healthcare program
Experience
  • Previous experience with elderly or disabled individuals preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records

Certifications
  • Additional certification in palliative care preferred
Languages
  • English: Fluent
