Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Health First Pharmacy in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pharmaceutical care, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients.
  • Manage medication dispensing and patient counseling effectively.
  • Conduct regular audits for medication safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve health services.
  • Participate in community outreach programs focused on health education.
  • Assist in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Compile and analyze data for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Train and oversee junior staff and pharmacy interns.
  • Utilize technology for patient record management and medication tracking.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and pharmaceutical representatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
  • PhD in Pharmacy or related field preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a clinical pharmacist
