Job Description

As a Civil Engineer in Durban, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success from conception to completion. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in structural and civil engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Utilize CAD software to create accurate designs and schematics.
  • Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing project proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with local and national codes.
  • Participate in community engagement initiatives related to project developments.
  • Contribute to the mentoring and training of junior engineering staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Engineering Management is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience in civil engineering
