Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer at our Pretoria office, your role will involve the design, testing, and implementation of electrical systems. You’ll collaborate with project teams to create solutions tailored to client specifications while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create and validate technical specifications for electrical installations.
• Ensure that all work meets the required technical standards and regulations.
• Train and supervise junior engineers and apprentices.
• Engage with contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications.
• Conduct risk assessments for electrical projects.
• Review and improve existing procedures and practices for efficiency.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with clients.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation including drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the budget preparation and management for projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• PLC Programming
• SCADA Systems

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)
• Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in software like ETAP and PSS/E: Hands-on experience using ETAP for electrical power systems.
• Technical writing experience: Ability to write comprehensive technical reports and documents.
