Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our exciting projects in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and utilize advanced engineering principles to design and implement innovative mechanical solutions. Proficiency in CAD software and project management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through to implementation.
• Research and apply new materials and technologies in mechanical designs.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure quality control during production.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Perform root cause analysis for product failures and implement corrective actions.
• Work actively on continuous improvement and lean projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
